Tigger - Her Story / Topsy too!

Tigger - Andrew's cat of many years

Topsy shortly after she came to live with Grace

Andrew was brought up with cats, all called, Topsy - his late mother Grace, in the twilight of her years gave a home to another 'Topsy' who now lives with Andrew's brother Steven and his family. Here is a poem that Grace wrote about:

My cat Topsy

Topsy my cat, so warm and so soft
Always ready for her food,
With her soft silky fur
And loud relaxed purr
She is the picture of contentment
As she stretches out along the floor
Dreaming of the mice she might catch
Who have come out to play on her patch,
One eye slowly opens, she makes a dash –
Too late – the mice were quick as a flash,
So Topsy turned her back and went to sleep
To dream of mice and her favourite things.
