Who doesn't recognise this iconic jar?
Nice 'popart' use of the Marmite Jar and the Union Jack combined (sourced from Pinterest) to make this a truly British visual and taste feast!
Marmite gets its own page on my web-site in 2019! (You're here!)

Summer of Love (and / or hate)
Nothing to do with Marmite (except as reciprocal advertising of course' except to utilise the 'love it or hate it' strapline. The image was created solely for the purpose of bringing attention to the 'Provocative and peculiar: the rise of 'Marmite' fragrances' article in the Telegraph! Provoking our interest with this opening paragraph. "Eau de fudge, turpentine, salt – and even semen. Yes, really… The latest fragrance trend is for provocative, peculiar perfumes. Alice du Parcq enters the world of the love-them-or-loathe-them scents..." (follow the link to read more)
The funkily designed jars, which are available from July - September, have been made with a "lighter summery blend", in an apparent bid to make more consumers fall in love with the brand. As Marketing first reported last month, the jars take inspiration from Woodstock and the summer of love in 1967. "With an innate ability to create talkability and buzz, Marmite owns a unique territory and we aim to build on this with the launch of our limited edition summer spread," said Marmite assistant brand manager, Philippa Atkinson. "This summer, we want to encourage the British public to be lovers, not haters, with our new lighter tasting recipe. It is a slight twist on the traditional recipe, making it a perfect spread to have this summer," she added.
However, Marmite fans should keep their eyes peeled to avoid disappointment, as only ninety-four 'Summer of Hate' jars will be available across the UK (one for each day of British summer). - A marketing coup if I may say so, I only managed to find the 'Love!'
Marmite becomes Personal
At Christmas in 2015 we were given the glorious opportunity of getting personalised jars of Marmite and even better we could state whether the recipient had been naughty or nice.
Personalisation is always an excellent marketing ploy! Nobody gets to eat my Marmite!
How your personalisation could look!
This was such a great idea and of course I bought into it via the Marmite Fb page and everybody in our immediate family circle received 'Naughty' or 'Nice' versions (photos to follow eventually!) but I was sad that a true Marmite fan, our friend Anna, was not able to participate.
Isn't this fun for 2015? Yes, of course I ordered loads - for the family and me, me, me - did I say me?
2013 - Marmite exterminates Vegemite
Celebrating 50 years of 'Doctor Who'
2012 - Marmite becomes Ma'amite
The truly iconic Marmite has changed its name and livery colours for the 2012 Jubilee celebrations and as such takes the current lead on this page!
And what a little imagination can produce - I absolutely adore the combination of Ma'amite and the telephone kiosk!
And then baby made 4!
And what about a few variations?
