Zdarzyło się w Krakowie:...w 1936 roku – przy ul. Pędzichów Boczna 3 otwarto uroczyście nową siedzibę rozgłośni krakowskiej. Znajdowały się tam: wielkie studio muzyczne, studio kameralne, studio literackie, studio spikerów, pokój reżyserski, stacja kontroli technicznej, pokój kierownika i personelu technicznego. „Niestety dostęp do stacji jest fatalny, ulica Pędzichów Boczna przywodzi na myśl abisyńskie drogi i w imię dobrej opinii miasta należałoby bezzwłocznie uporządkować tę ulicę”.

Sandwiched between the 'Press Palace' (Pałac Prasy) on the left and the main Post Office (Poczta Główna) on the right; real Palm Trees create quite a feature in 1936, against the backcloth of the iconic, but not art deco, style of the Kościół Mariacki Wniebowzięcia Najświętszej Marii Panny (St. Mary's Basilica)

The Main Post Office today - somewhere in the 1960s the feature carving either side of the clock was lost and the tower domed giving it a more Polish feel and losing the uniqueness of the Art Deco style
